Forestry Operations

We have the capability to tackle projects large and small - Valley Forestry operates excavators with various attachments and forestry tractors with winches and trailers, all of which give us flexibility to work on most sites that we come across in our area. We work for woodland owners, both charity and commercial clients, private estates and trusts, forestry agents, local authorities, property developers, highway authorities, tree surgeons, timber companies and sawmills amongst others. We can offer a complete service from felling licence application through felling, extraction, traffic management where necessary, arranging transport and marketing of timber. Although we are able to carry out large scale works we are also at home doing smaller works for individual local private clients.

Firewood

Over time, we’ve grown a thriving woodfuel business, producing log nets and kindling for garages, farm shops, and other retailers, as well as loose log loads for private homes. We cater to both trade and retail, from large palletised deliveries to small orders, and are always happy to welcome new customers.

Our sawmill allows us to turn timber into products like cladding and slabs, and we enjoy working with the unique and unusual woods we come across.

Our goal is to make the most of every piece of timber we fell, while staying committed to sustainable forestry and environmental standards.

New Base Of Operations

In the summer of 2025, we relocated to a larger yard to better accommodate our growing need for more timber storage and to serve our expanding customer base. Now that everything is fully up and running, we’re ready to offer plenty of barn-dried logs for the upcoming season — all available through our webshop. 

We’re now based at the Chavenage Estate near Tetbury. We still cover the Stroud area for our firewood deliveries, and we’re now also offering deliveries to Cirencester and the surrounding areas.
